Nisqually Raven LogoLodge Dues or Transfers...

It is rechartering time. Have you remembered to pay your Lodge dues? In order to be a member in good standing and thus able to wear the Lodge flap and sash every Arrowman must pay their Lodge dues. Lodge dues help keep the Lodge running by paying for member communications, service projects, and other projects as decided by the youth.

Want to be one of those youth making the decision on how money is spent? Get involved in your local Chapters or attend the monthly Lodge Executive Committee meeting the second Monday of each month at the Tacoma Scout office.

Transfering from another Lodge? Fill out the form the below and we will get you registered in our Lodge. Please remember that it is only possible to be registered in one Lodge at a time.

The member registration form for the 2008 Ordeals is now available.  Members can start registering or promoting the Ordeals to their fellow arrowmen immediately.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: By direction of the Lodge Executive Committee, this year there will be a split in fees for those who pre-register versus those who register at the event.  The cost for pre-registration will remain at $15 per arrowman.  Those registering one week or less prior to the Ordeal will pay $20.  This change allows the Lodge to better plan for logistics including food.

Cub Scout LogoInterested in performing Cub Scout ceremonies?

This time of the year the Lodge receives many requests to perform Arrow of Light and Crossover ceremonies for local packs. The ability for us to do that lies in Arrowmen that want to perform this important task. Cub Scout ceremonies are much more informal than that of the Ordeal or the Brotherhood. They typically take a few hours of preparations and then a two hour commitment for the night. That commitment provides a memorable experience for the new Boy Scouts as they enter into the troops. It is a great chance to impress them with things they could do in Boy Scouts. The Lodge and Chapters only commit to ceremonies for which they can get willing members.

If you are interested in helping out with Cub Scout ceremonies, please contact Scott Maresh.

Camp Hahobas LogoFEATURE: Trail to First Class Service Project at Camp Hahobas

Starting in August 2007, Nisqually Lodge returns to Camp Hahobas for our first major service project since the Hahobas Dock Project. The Lodge is undertaking the creation of a brand new Trail to First Class area. Now this is no Trail to First Class area that you have ever seen before.  The project calls for a one-stop, well planned, and well provisioned area.  Everything from project planning to execution is available for arrowmen to get involved with. The Camping Committee has laid out the guidelines.  The experience that campers get in the area will be the one that the Lodge creates.  Come be a part of a project that will impact hundreds of campers over the next decade. Contact Robb Haydon or John Ailport for more information.
