Membership
Membership in Nisqually Lodge is granted on the basis of the following requirements and with the approval of the Supreme Chief of the Fire.
- Must be a registered Scout or Scouter.
- Must have completed the Ordeal.
- Must pay annual Lodge dues.
Our dues system revolves around a calendar year much in the same way that units re-charter annually. Arrowmen are encouraged to pay the annual Lodge dues at the same time they recharter with their units. In no case shall membership be conferred if the above requirements are not met in full.
Why pay dues? The first is that it makes you an arrowman. Those arrowman that do not pay dues are not permitted to wear the Lodge flap or the sash until they bring themselves into good standing. Second, the dues help keep you informed and the Lodge running. Much of the dues goes towards member communication and service.
When and where can I pay my dues? Dues are payable at any Council office or at any Lodge event. Arrowmen may pay for the coming year starting in October at the Fall Fellowship of the previous year. Dues for the current year may be paid all the way through October 31st of the stated year. It is not possible to back pay after that point.
What if I am transferring from another Lodge? We have a simple transfer form for you to fill out. Please be aware that it is only possible for you to belong to one (1) Lodge at a time. If you are temporarily here (say for college) and want to get involved, but maintain your membership in your home Lodge please contact us and we can arrange for a small fee so that you get our communications.
I was active a long time ago and want to be active again. How can I do that? It is similar to the transfer form unless you have been a member of Nisqually Lodge, #155 before. We need to be able to verify your membership status. Previous membership cards, information from your Induction, and the like will speed the process.
I paid my dues, but I am not getting mailings! Contact our membership Adviser, Dave Wellman, with these inquiries.
